When working with the KC Comets, I personally decided that sticking with the colors of their soccer uniforms would help to make this Magnet Schedule feel a bit more included with the other KC Comets' graphic design works. I chose this list format by month to organize information from top and then left to right.
While designing a logo for a sushi restaurant named "Sushi Zen", my mind first thought that Kanji would be a good approach. I paired the Kanji with a red square as well as making the Kanji red to grab attention of nearby onlookers.
For this project, we were assigned to design a mock magazine cover as well as a few extra pages in InDesign. This was the cover I used that I had made in both Photoshop and Illustrator. The captions, in my opinion, help to really tie the whole magazine cover together.
For this project, we were assigned to make a holiday card for Herndon's holiday season. I started off using a warm brown and snow to give a welcoming feel to the card itself. I added a picture provided by the Herndon website in the back to not make the background so empty and to also had some inclusion to the person reading the card. The wreath was a good choice to make the reader look at the holiday card from the outside in.
The thing about this project is that there was complete creative freedom to personalize our nameplates how we saw fit. I chose a futuristic / vaporwave vibe for mine. I spent over two days to design the text the way it looks and I'm very proud of the way it came out.
For this project, the theme was to design a logo for a bakery that sold both beignets and coffee that would be dubbed "BenYAYS" or "Beignet". I decided to use the typical brown to indicate that it was some sort of bakery which worked very good in my favor. I also added the fork in knife to further indicate to consumers that this is some sort of food establishment.
This being up for our own interpretation, I decided to continue with my Japanese mythology theme. Using the word "Yokai" which closely translates to "demon", I used this term to make my bran  d so more edgy or cool. I chose a cool blue to make the flame stand out from the black of the other letters in the logo.
