Out of time is a series of twelve photographs I made in 2011/2012 using a large format pinhole camera and expired ORWO films. Images capture small waterscapes around my hometown in Slovakia.
It was a very uneasy part of my life - my father was dying of terminal illness, my long term relationship was breaking and I was in the final year of my university studies without any particular vision for my next life. I was running out of time. The time to finals, the time to break-up, the time to death.
I captured that time in photographs. Low sensitivity glass plates in combination with a small aperture pinhole camera required excessively long exposures measured in hours even during the daylight.
And I spent my time capturing the insignificant movements of flowing water.

Life became lighter for a while.
Thank You for watching.
