Corner is a table lamp designed in tribute to the nature-culture of corns.

Corn is a forgotten agricultural foundation of many cultures, including the Taiwanese. My grandfather is still a corn farmer in his seventies. Upon yearly family visits, he picks us corns to welcome his children. It is his labor of love.

A Mobius strip symmetry that symbolizes infinity, sprouts out from Corner's solid hand carved base. Pine was split and glued to form a rippling growth ring. The illustrated leaves are mature and drying, in contrast to the buoyancy of bent-laminated wood grains.
