Embroidery is the art or handicraft of decorating fabric or other materials with needle and thread or yarn. In this way, it has been practiced for decades. I love this beautiful craft as it's easy to get started. I also love that there are so many stitches, but that you can use them in new and different ways. Plus, there is a never-ending supply of inspiration which I've used in my designs while making it for Fabindia fusion line. The variety of stitches, which to me are like colors on a painter's palette. The blending of colors and the infinite array of textures which vary endlessly with thread type/weight. It brings out creativity yet forces patience.
