The world-wide sensational musical 'Hamilton' was the inspiration for this project. It was the main original cast members that made this musical successful and I wanted to dedicate this zine to them. The intent of this design spotlights the performers off stage creating a window to their true personalities.
Each spread features the performers in a portrait with the lyrics of their most famous song layered to add texture to the page. This allows the viewers to understand how the lyrics were carefully generated for this show. The most iconic phrase for each character is laid over with drips and paint splatters to represent Hamilton's urge to consistently write. This reflects his messy life and how it impacted so many.
