This was a student project I designed with two other women. We were tasked with creating an interactive lighting installation to be set up in Herald Square, New York City. For this we created a sci-fi spherical object with that had LED wires running around it. Each wire was connected to a sound sensitive receptor that was calibrated for different frequencies housed within the main spherical body of the installation. Depending on the pitch at which people yelled into the sound horns that connected to the sphere, different/more areas of the sphere would light up.
