Finnish December Diary is a fibre/paper art diary I created between the 2nd and 31st
of December 2018, during "Silence Awareness Existence" Art Residency at Arteles Creative Center, Finland. The project consists of 30 fibre /paper art pieces (including two triptychs and a diptych).

I have received Travel and Training Award 2018 for the realisation of this project, granted by the Arts Council of Ireland.
Day 1 (2nd of December) - Travelling Basket. Arrival
Materials: various packages picked on the way to Finland, mostly at the Heathrow airport (food packages). Some materials I brought with me from Ireland, like the wires wrapped in paper, for the skeleton of the basket.

Materials: ash coloured pulp (lokta fibres and an ash paper fruit tray from Tesco), Finnish plant fibres, a black paper found at Arteles, paper and metallic threads.
