New Syngenta Exhibit Showcases Innovative Crops

Having dedicated his career to the agricultural industry, Carl Casale is an executive with more than three decades of experience. Carl Casale holds the title of independent director on the board of Syngenta.

Syngenta recently announced new demonstrations at its stand at Fruit Logistica that will share the company's latest efforts to reduce food waste through innovative vegetable seeds. The company has successfully bred new seeds designed to improve efficiency across the entire food chain, from growing in the field to being enjoyed by customers.

Syngenta has had particular success with baby plum tomatoes, Ultra Firm flesh watermelon, Easy-Broq broccoli, and a new true-white cauliflower variety. For instance, in 2018 field scale trials, 100 percent of the true-white cauliflower heads that were grown were marketable, as opposed to the more common 60 to 65-percent yields of most commercial varieties.

As part of the new experience at the Syngenta stand at Fruit Logistica, visitors will get to explore an exhibit of the latest Syngenta vegetable seed varieties. Additionally, Syngenta will share its latest efforts to simultaneously reduce waste, improve grower performance, and make fruits and vegetables more flavorful.
