For this project, we were given a choice of six different typefaces: Helvetica Neue, Memphis, Garamond, Bodoni, Friz Quadrata, and Centaur. This project was a close study of a typeface's letterforms. We had to crop four letters in a minimal way that it couldn't be recognized as a letter at first glance, but could easily be distinguished once the viewer realized they were letters. The cropped letters were also supposed to be able to be identified in what the letter was and what typeface it was from. This forced us to really study the unique characteristics that make up the letters of each typeface.
