廟趣恆生 4TempleGame

「廟趣恆生」是一款結合了媽祖廟文化的桌遊。

媽祖是台灣人民生活文化中很重要的一部份；上千間媽祖廟坐落於台灣各處，在我們的家鄉——台中市則有著四間古老的媽祖廟庇蔭著人們，我們被這裡的媽祖廟文化深深吸引、希望能以有趣的方式將樂成宮、萬春宮、萬和宮、南興宮這四間廟推廣出去。我們相信，將其製作成桌遊可以幫助我們推廣這個傳統的文化。

“4TempleGame” is a tabletop game about Mazu culture which is very popular in Taiwan.

Mazu the Goddess of sea is an important part of Taiwanese culture. There are massive number of Mazu temples located in Taiwan. In Taichung city, the hometown of the team members, four typical Mazu temples support citizens′ soul. Hence, we want to tell the world about their stories. Making a tabletop game could be an interest way to achieves our aspiration.

我們希望玩家能透過遊玩這款桌遊更加了解這四間廟的建築特色與歷史故事：

玩家必須在遊戲中收集各間廟的特色卡牌，集到最多特色卡的玩家便是贏家；透過這個規則，玩家們將會增加對這四間廟以及媽祖廟文化的熟悉度。同時，我們也希望這個遊戲能吸引玩家親自到訪這四間媽祖廟。

In order to make players be interesting in these Mazu temples, we put several architectural features, history and stories of each temple in the game.

In the beginning, all players need to pick one temple per person. To be winner, the players need to collect cards with characteristics which belong to their targeted Mazu temple. By this way, the players can be familiar with these temples as well as Mazu culture and be evoked their interest to visit these temples at the meantime.

此外，「廟趣橫生」這款遊戲也結合了台灣的廟宇文化：抽籤與擲茭。玩家需要透過抽籤決定前進的步數、擲茭的結果則決定了能不能抽卡。

Apart from that, “4TempleGame” combine the Taiwanese temple′s culture including lots and moon blocks. Just like what people do in Daoism temples, players need to draw lots to move forwards and cast moon blocks to decide if they can draw cards or not.
