JOAN CORNELLA: A SOLO EXHIBITION

Based in Barcelona, the famous Spanish cartoonist/illustrator Joan Cornellà is well-known for his wordless, brightly coloured six-panel comics that incorporate introspective black humour and surreal humour in his deceptive childlike illustration style.
THE ARTBISHOP was involved as the organiser and main exhibition curator for Joan Cornella, and Far Out! was selected to be the official venue as the space complemented his works and added a playful touch to the overall experience.
This exhibition was held exclusively in Hong Kong and Singapore, making our city the only stop in Southeast Asia. This 10-day period attracted over 5000 public visitors and gave his fans, art appreciators, the young and the old a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with his work on canvas and purchase giclee originals, limited edition prints, books, and more.
