Wish Upon A Shooting Star
I wanted to create a shoe that elevates the design of a simple slip on in an elegant and decorative way. Using soft colorful leather and carefully sewn appliqué my design ended up dreamy from the tail of the shooting star to the decorative scallop hem.

Process
I began with a sketch of the general look I wanted for my shoe and then working on a paper pullover mapped the parts on my last to get a more refined idea of how I wanted it to look.
I worked with a master base I made by draping of my last to create each of the pattern pieces I would need to cut from the leather.

I created a pullover to practice stitching and see how the pattern lay on the last.
