Akin to its counterpart in Rio de Janiero, Trinidad & Tobago Carnival is an annual explosion of color, costume and culture as the people take to the streets to the sound of soca music.
I served as copywriter on the Carnival 2012* campaign for STAG beer, with a major focus on their annual, party event The STAGe.
TheSTAGe” is a made for TV, talk and entertainment, pre-Carnival, mini-series that is staged for a LIVE audience of approximately 200 patrons who attend the event for free. Recorded over six nights, up to and including Carnival Friday, the series is an hour-long event featuring interviews and intimate performances by Trinidadian Carnival artists, neighborhood bands and other players in the Carnival milieu. Audience participation events like are also included as part of the show’s nightly format.
