SIDNEY SLADEN - Concept to Consumer - Fashion.

Sidney Sladen
A celebrity fashion designer of Kenyan origin, Sidney Sladen is one of the biggest names in the fashion industry in Chennai. A part of the South Indian film industry for almost a decade, he has designed outfits for several models, movies and movie stars, including superstar Rajnikanth.
Challenge
Sidney Sladen was growing from a one store shop to a multinational retail outlet. One MG was mandated to create a brand that would reflect Sidney's flamboyance and class.
Solution
We created a brand imagery true to Sladen’s persona - elegant while being flamboyant. To signify the importance of the person behind the brand, we conceptulised that the symbol of the logo must be the initials of Sidney Sladen.


BRANDING
- Going by the brand strategy to look elegant and flamboyant, we used black to bring out the elegance and gold to signify flamboyance.
- A pneumonic was created with the 2 S in the name. This symbol was used across all brand collaterals right from tags to websites.
- Stylish corporate stationery with unique die cuts, high-end clothes labels and packaging, elaborate look books and an interesting event invite were designed to change the look and feel of the brand.


WEBSITE
- An elegant, minimalist layout was designed for the website in line with the brand philosophy, to communicate a sense of chic extravagance.
- The hero of the website was Sidney Sladen’s collection and we created a website that would mimic a sliding door of collections. Each collection could be pushed to look for new collections.
