The set designer of an independent film (Thick Air) reached out for me to create a custom shirt for their lead character. She requested something that would tie into that character’s roots in New York City, so I illustrated “NYC” in a fingerprint to tie the two together.
The “NYC” design was so well received that they asked me to create a version based on the film shoot location, Detroit. The “DET” design was printed on shirts that were an incentive for the film’s Indiegogo fundraiser and were also given as a memento for the film’s staff.
