Seeing Between The Lines

My painting and drawing work typically begins with photographs of people I know that I have collected or taken myself. What I strive to do is say something more about photographic images with collage. I want to draw people in and be curious about the combination of these images with other things.

I use a collage strategy to put images together with other images, objects and contrasting media techniques working with everything together until the elements speak as one to me — tells me something new about the person, a new story for the images told by the work.
