Process
I used scanned my sketches, and used photoshop to make sure my patterns repeated
The flowers that I was inspired by:
"Floral Pattern"
Our professor for the Sophomore Surface Design class brought in fresh flowers for our class to create a floral print. We studied the flowers for the entire class, and were to make a repeating floral pattern. I chose a more geometric approach to the floral design, and drew out different motifs and scanned the file. I used Photoshop to make sure that my motifs were in top shape-repeat and that they were no errors. I painted the piece with gouache paint.
