This documentary film by Asha Ghosh, is about Mr Shanbag, who, under the pressures of a changing city, finally had
to shut shop after being around from the mid 1900s. His shop, (Premier Bookshop), had books stacked from the floor to the ceiling in seeming chaos, and welcomed readers, young and old, to browse though his Dr Seuss-like maze of books. The documentary is comprised of interviews of an entire generation of Bangaloreans (among them Ramchandra Guha and Prem Koshy) who have grown up reading books bought from his store. The film also goes on to document how a second generation of readers too developed until the shop closed its doors in 2008.

The documentary was first screened in SFO at the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival,
March 2010 and subsequently in New York and Dallas.
