Piña Colada the snow bear

Piña Colada the snow bear
I was lucky enough to be in St. Louis when a big snowstorm hit there on the second weekend of January 2019. My family and I had gone outside to play in the snow, and while my sister and I were making snowballs and tromping around in a nearby field, my father and brother were making a "snowman."

When I had noticed what they were doing, I decided to help. At first, it was just cleaning up the darker spots (they were using snow that had come from the salted road so it wasn't exactly white), but then I had decided that I wanted to make a bear. They were kind enough to let me use their snowman as a base.
I spent the better part of an hour and a half working on it. My sister had commented that it looked kind of like a gummy bear, and I just rolled with it. We decided to call the bear Piña Colada, because salt is white, and is used for Piña Coladas, and because I don't like coconuts, and "Snowball" was a bit too on the nose.

I was very much excited when I had come back that evening to find that Piña was still there, having expected someone or other to have knocked here over while I was gone.
The following morning I had to leave St. Louis, so I had to say goodbye to Piña. I don't know how long she lasted, but I hope she brought at least a little spurt of happiness to someone else, even if it was just to see her destroyed at their hands.
The last I saw of Piña.
