Changing Fabrics: Midterm

Changing Fabrics Final
By utilising the windows in one of our classrooms, I used patterns that I abstracted from looking outside a plane window to create an atmosphere of looking from above.

Process
"The Desire of Looking Above"

During my 2018 summer, I travelled a vast amount. I have always been a window seat kind of a person, and have a thorough collection of pictures I took of various landscapes.

For a course called, "Change Fabrics", the final I did was about looking outside of an airplane window. I conveyed the sense of looking and being bewildered by the view by creating a pattern that abstracted the landscape that we all see from the airplane window but from a different perspective. I wanted the audience to feel small compared and to be engulfed in this powerful and overwhelming atmosphere.
