When challenged to create an infographic about something unique to myself, the thing that stood out the most were the strange illnesses I had growing up as a child. I contracted uncommon diseases such as West Nile Virus and Lyme Disease and my doctor has claimed me to be a medical anomaly. However, I wanted my infographic to be light-hearted instead of all about sickness because I see these as obstacles I was able to overcome in my life. Getting past these difficulties is something that I wouldn't ever want to change. To achieve a more positive tone, I included anecdotes of what I remember from being in the hospital and fun things I got to do like ride in an ambulance and eat lots of ice cream.

 

I constructed the infographic in the form of an accordian book so that it folded up to the size of a small 5x7 inch medical file.
