Currently at 112 ears
The Ear Project, sees each ear as an independent portrait; each one having a unique form and color mimicking the individual. The ears are adorned in ways that reflect the person’s unique spirit through piercings, tattoos, and hairstyles, but when grouped together, the project also becomes politically charged. The congregation of ears begs the viewer to listen to each individual story of discrimination, intolerance, or harassment, and to the story of the whole. They become portraits of the voiceless citizens and a large plea for help on a small-scale panel.
This is an ongoing project.
