Painings

This was a painting done for my father for Christmas, inspired by this poem by Charles Bukowski, my favourite poet:
"If I never see you again
I will always carry you
inside
outside
on my fingertips
and on my brain edges
and in centers
centers
of what I am of
what remains."
I used water colours, and finel iners for some definition of edges and features.

I had an assignment in high school where you read a novel (in this case, a graphic novel) and re-do the cover based on your adaptation of what you read. I read "The Watchman", and after reading decided to make the cover the characters Rorschach and Dr.Manhattan with the added iconic bloody pin smiley face belonging to the novel's character The Comedian.

This was my first time using acrylic paints (clearly) and didn't turn out so great. I used water colour, water colour pencils and marker for Rorschach's side, and just acrylic and marker for Dr.Manhattan's side. I used marker for all the titles and details and red acrylic for the background as well.

Messing around with water colours, the gun is my favourite part.
I used water colours and fine liners to draw hard lines and define features.
