Whether you’re on a budget, or just desire to make something creative and original – you’ve come to the right place. Below you will find great ideas to create a wonderful Christmas Wreath for the holidays that is both eye-catching, and very economical! Don’t waste $15-$90 on something pre-made at the store when you can assemble your very own for a fraction of the cost!

This is one of my absolute favorites! The end result is beautiful and I have made it for roughly $6.

You will need to stop at a local craft store; Michael’s crafts is highly recommended as they often run very cheap specials on the items needed. You’ll want to pick up the following items for this project:

– Plain, undecorated artificial “pine” wreath

– Tacky or hot glue

– Flower choices (I recommend red and white Poinciana’s) – I was able to purchase these for $.99 each. (You will be looking for a pre-arranged group that you would place into a vase. Stem still attached; there will be quite a few flowers per arrangement.)

– Garnish choices (Recommendations: red ribbon bow, mini pine cones, or red berries.)

To assemble, all you will need to do is pull the flowers from the artificial stems and set aside. If you have a bow you will glue or tie this on first as it will be the center point for how you arrange the rest of the wreath. Next you will place your flowers, pinecones, and berries onto the wreath in your desired locations – do not glue yet. Once you are fully satisfied with the placement you will begin gluing the pieces into place in a clockwise direction. Now, hang your wreath, stand back, and enjoy!

This wreath is both beautiful and festive for the colder season. If you currently have a real Christmas tree in your home you can use a couple of the branches from there (cut them from the bottom of the tree so it is less noticeable.). For those who don’t have a real tree in their home, many stores such as most Wal-Mart centers will allow you to take home the branch debris that falls off or is cut from their trees.

Once you have your branches you will need to trim them so that there is more lush pine instead of mostly twig and bark showing. Next you will begin to bind the branches together in the shape of a circle at the desired size of your wreath. Use string or bendable wire to hold the branches together. For an extra security measure you may want to dab hot glue around them as well.

After your wreath is assembled you will need the following items:

– Spray snow

– White (or clear) dry glitter flakes

– (Optional) additional decoration of choice such as mini pinecones, red Poinciana’s, small red bows, or mini golden bells.

– Tacky or hot glue

You will begin by spraying the wreath with your snow can; be cautious not to spray too close or excessive as it can ruin the natural snow fallen appearance. While the spray snow is still wet you will sprinkle your glitter all over (If you have issues with the snow drying too quickly you may need to purchase a small can of spray glue to assist with the project). After the wreath is fully dry you will lay on any accessories you have to decorate the wreath with. Once you are fully satisfied with the results, you’ll begin to glue them into place. Once more ensure that the wreath is fully dry, then hang it up for all to see!
