Garfield Feature Pages –
These are pages that appear in the front and back of the comic strip compilation books, usually filled with new jokes or gags.
I was approached by the Director of Publication to try my hand at designing some of these pages. He liked my Coffee and True Cat T-Shirt designs, so he challenged me to find a way to use those for two feature page designs in the next compilation book. He said, "Take the coffee and the pulp magazine cover designs and give them purpose. Use them to create something different. And, above all, have fun with this."
I decided to take the "Fake Products" and create vintage-looking ads as they appeared in comic books or magazines from the 1960s or 1970s.
