This painting was meant to serve as a practice for mixing watercolor and gouache to achieve translucency and opacity simultaneously. I used an album jacket of my favorite singer as a reference for this.

This painting presented another opportunity to practice using two media together.

Hot Spring - Study for five levels of depth in aerial perspective
Once I was more used to using both medium, I started mixing different refernces to come up with my own compositions. I have a strange fascination for monkeys and wwanted to depict them seen from above, achieveing a sense of depth.
