FESTIVAL OF LIGHT ,BERLIN, KOLLHOFF TOWER
CONCEPT
The essence of architecture is to meet certain functional needs of space. Since space does not require enclosure, the scenes of walls breaking are used frequently in this work to reflect the concept of cube without walls, trying to free and connect people from the bondage of space.
Architecture is also the carrier of social history. Therefore, many bursting scenes are being used to convey the concept of breaking the barriers of national solidarity and welcoming the rebirth of Germany, to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall.
In addition, future architecture is no longer a machine that satisfy the living function only, but an integrated conceptual complex which guides the expression of urban lifestyle and solves social problems to some extent. Combined with the unique characteristics of Kollhoff-Tower, this idea is also incorporated through fractals and variation, manifesting the charm of architecture.
