Advanced measuring system for speed-skating

Speed-skate performance is depending on mostly on physical performance and technique. There are no other devices as the judgement of coaches and speed-skaters themselves and lap-times, indicating the average speed over one lap.
A more precise and quantitative measurement device was developed.
The product is build with existing sensor technology and low-tech computer power. A prototype has proven to deliver a useful measurement result. This can all be done without the skater having to change his preferred material.
