Hi!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog.

Here I plan to share all things that I have found useful in following my passion of home decor and interior design.

If you are starting a home design project, the first thing you want to is get some inspiration. Many people do this by scrapbooking but now days it can be more efficient do do using your computer, either by storing pictures in a folder, or by creating a board on Pinterest.

http://www.home-designing.com/ is a great resource for inspiration.

Decide which room you are going to start with first. I find the bedroom is a great place to start because you can use a lot of personality, but the space is not big enough to be overwhelming.

Key things to consider when re-designing your bedroom include:

- what colours/designs do you want for the walls
- what type and size of bed you want
- what bedroom flooring is most suitable
- what bedroom furniture you need to fit e.g. wardrobes and drawers
- what style bedding you will use e.g. quilts and pillows
- what curtains/drapes would best suit the space

Once you have got these basics written down, it's time to start looking for suitable paint colours, while also measuring up your space to ensure your desired furniture will fit.

We have found the Room Sketcher handy for visualising the layout of a space.

From their site:
