This laptop stand was designed as part of a live project in association with electronic accesory company Allsop ltd. The company wanted a new product for their range, specifically aimed at the youth market.

 

The laptop stand which became the eventual winner of the project, makes use of the fact that young people prefer to use their laptop on a couch, bed, or on their lap. Current laptop stands are designed to be placed on desks only.

The design allows users to place their laptop on any surface and keep thier laptop running with an efficient air flow. The curvy, single piece design appeals to the youth market while offering them a more effective and beneficial solution.

Stand can be placed on a bed, couch, the user's lap or almost any horizontal surface.

The angled design suits the user's natural wrist position.

The stand is made from one thin sheet of aliminium which is wrapped in fabric. The rubber material on the top provides grip for the laptop, and the perforations on the top surface ensure the air flow is not effected.
