Problem: Using Adobe Photoshop, create a movie poster for a fictitious film. Poster is required to include cover art, title, released date, two fictional actor names, a memorable tagline.

Solution: The Web Designer Depotin which they Described 7 elements of a great movie poster design. They first started with Attention, which they described, in four short words “Attention, interest, desire and action” you want to catch your potential viewers attentions with your poster, and they mention that head-and-shoulder character pictures can improve response rates, which is what I have in my poster.

Iconography is also very important “show without flat out telling what it is about” This is the reason I put the world’s map behind which represents distance, and this is also the reason why I wanted the characters to have eye contact in my movie poster to portray the strong bond between them. These two key facts make my design better than my competition. They have good designs, that could potentially grab a viewer’s attention, but in one of them you can’t really tell what one is about, and the other one tells too much.

Results: As my final result my movie poster targets dog lovers of ages 13 & up as I plan to rank my movie PG-13 due to possible war scenes that could be too strong for anyone younger.
