In this UNESCO World Heritage project I chose one of the heritage sites, developed a logo and an
identity system for the place. I chose the Pompeii region in Italy as my site because it was a very
memorable place when I visited in 2010 and I had lots of primary sources to work with.
Despite the volcanic eruption in AD 79, this region still had many remnants of the city left. So I decided
to manipulate the upper point in letter ‘A’ to mimic the shape of the volcano. The color scheme and the
“ash-look” comes from what I saw and felt when I was at the place.
