SonicSMS, a free android app which allows users to send free texts.
I had created this app, with a developer, Whilst I was working for a SMS markerting company.
They wanted a free android app that was capable of sending a limited amount of texts from any device running Android.

"SonicSMS is a FREE Text Messaging Application.
You can use this service to send FREE SMS / Text Messages to your friends, family, and personal contacts in the UK. You'll get a free text allowance each day. You will start off each day with 5 Credits (unless you already have more than 5), but you can earn more credits in the app, 1 credit can be earned every 5 minutes, limited to 5 credits per hour. SonicSMS will allow you to send up to 100 Messages a day.
Text messages are NOT sent from your SIM CARD this means that you can send Text Messages from devices that are not usually capable of doing so (e.g. Tablets without SIM card capabilities).
You simply register your account with YOUR own mobile number. When messages are sent they will appear to be sent from your mobile number, this allows your contacts to reply to your messages DIRECTLY to your own mobile.
You can send messages to UK mobile numbers from ANYWHERE in the world (providing you have internet connectivity)."
