"Awe and Wonder" 30" x 40" Acrylic on Canvas by Lorna Harris

The series specifically inspired by DC Comics’ Characters - with paintings inspired by The Flash, Green Lantern, and Superman - has brought me to finally creating a Wonder Woman painting! Each painting has their own reasons behind them, as does their characters, so I made this painting bright and strong. More inspiration came from none other than Rosie the Riveter, as you can see. The times lately have been focusing more and more about women's rights, especially in the work place, and I would like to stand as well and say that yes, we can do it. And yes, I'm a woman who can look someone in the eye and say "Me too", even if I still cannot bring myself to say what. Stay strong!!!
