Absolutely Convenient APP Design
Absolutely Convenient is a modern app for all your daily banking queries. Book your place in a digital queue, speak to the correct consultants regarding your issues, receive alerts on branches and ATMs, and easily locate your nearest branch. Click on any of the categories or search for your specific query and eliminate the need to go to the bank.
The Absolutely Convenient app has been designed to maintain the balance between a user friendly interface and functionality, putting you in control of your banking needs.It’s an app designed with you in mind, making banking less complex and less time consuming.
This concept was developed by doing research around our target audience of working middle class aged between 25 to 45, and what they dislike most about banks or banking. We found that most biggest frustrations South African bank users when calling or visiting a bank include: having to wait a long time, being transferred to a number of people and being told over the phone that they will have to visit the bank. 30% of South African preferred contacting their banks via mobile app and 67% would lodge a formal complaint is customer service was poor. So we began to question, how can we ease these fustrations and make banking less complex and time comsuming. The result was the Absolutely Convenient App.
When designing this app we took in to consideration, accessable design, typographic rules for mobile screen, design principles, colour psychology and the user interface, so that we might develop an app with the the right user experience. During this project we attempted to develop an app that would read as both professional and interactive, whilst remaining calming and easy to understand and use. In order to ensure the success of our app we carried out a number of user tests, testing the concept, wireframes and final UI and refined according to the feedback.
