A flat-packable stool designed for the Rhode Island School of Design. The Rest + Innovation = Stool for Design concept for this product resulted from understanding the story that the RISD faculty would like to share with visiting scholars and industry leaders as a token of appreciation for their contributions. Exploring the question of what kind of experience the institution would want its gift to offer led to the realization that RISD empowers us all to realize our creative potential, and that all big things begin with capturing that one idea. That idea can come to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Plus, who wouldn't want to be gifted portable furniture that guarantees an inspiring experience whenever, wherever?
