I collected hundreds of MATCHBOX toy cars when I was a child, I also watched a lot of movies during that time. I always loved the cars as characters in those movies. This project is a tribute to the hero cars from my favorite childhood movies, packaged as classic MATCHBOX toys.
Designed according to real car reference and dimension, scale: 1/25.

For the navigation on the website homepage, I designed 8 buttons to link to the specific movie hero car. I created these buttons as an abstract representation of the visual element appeared in the original movies and main character cars.
My design process is to define a universal visual language for the whole imaginary toy product line. I started from the consistent line weight for all the body outline, window trim line and details. And then I picked the consistent material color for the interior, chrome part, acrylic window and graphic shading in the flat visual system.
