Basic Weaving

Below are some woven explorations carried to explore fundamentals of weaving and basic structures. The explorations have been carried out on 8 shaft hand-looms. During the sample explorations yarns like Linen, Cotton singles, Merino wool, Jute and Hemp were used.
The idea of the course was to get familiarized with basic and compound woven structures. Along with this the project allowed for explorations and understanding of various counts and constructions of fabrics and yarn behavior and influence on the final structures made.
