Curtained Brass
This ring started as a design project exploring the integration of such structural elements as repeating textures and patterns in jewellery design.
In my case wavy textiles performed this function.
Waves are free to move everywhere they want,
they can be breathtaking and frightening,
at the same time.
The waves are created by a black sheet of leather ruffled and
fitted into a brass frame.
The leather curls are changing as time goes by.
This was a school project in ART SCHOOL OF BUDA and
it taught me how to properly fold leather, solder and polish brass,
simplify a natural shape, and of course,
to carry out a project from start to finish.
