Design project for a studio space that accommodates the various aspects involved in the study of plant life. To approach the studio’s design, two angles from a triangulated modular tectonic were used to determine form. Placing of programmatic elements were resolved by splitting up the seed storage and the greenhouse between two floors with one partially underground; creating an outdoor garden in the center as a transition space. Planters are built along the stairs up to the green house and simple structures frame the stairs that lead down to the archives. Various openings provide green areas with maximum sun exposure, promoting plant growth and the study of them.
