For my asymmetrical design project I went for a glitch looking style. I tried to limit myself to only numbers and symbols. And not to use any letters.
I added things like a typewriter similar background. I also added a lot of representation in the numbers. I used things like different fonts, numbers, symbols, sizes, and other varieties of things. For the colors, I used different shades, similar to monochrome art pieces to add a bit of contrast and variety.
I mainly used the point type tool, along with coloring using gradients. I also used pathfinder, outline, and basic transformation. I limited myself to a color palette of 2 with the exception of black and white. After I originally went with red, blue, green, yellow, and black and white. I went for a style representing the old static channels in old television sets.
