Title: Reinterpretation of Coney Island
Class: Visualization/Representation Spring 2018
Size: 18" x 27"
Medium: Pencil
My class took a field trip to Coney Island where we were to explore the park for inspiration and ideas. We made sketches of different rides and aspects of the park that compelled us, and we were tasked to draw our interpretation of Coney Island.
This is in two-point perspective and Coney Island is reimagined to have water forms flowing throughout the park, and the different rides are rearranged.
I attempted to make those objects closer to the audience as detailed as possible, while still being mindful of the thickness of the stroke, the perspective and the light source.
