Remembering The X files

The creation process
Watching The X Files is one of my best memories of when I was a tween. The first episode went on air on September 10th 1993. It's cliché but I have to say it: It feels like it was yesterday. I've been focused on learning about giving depth to illustrations and study facial expressions so I thought drawing the characters would be a good exercise.
Sketching would help me a lot more if I could draw exactly what I have in my mind. But even not being how I like it, it helped me to decide if I was going to draw the entire body or not and have a better idea of how I wanted the hair to look like. Sketching wasn't a single block of my process. I would go back to paper all the time to try my ideas.
If you gave me critique for this, thanks a lot. It seems to me that I'm going in opposite direction of artists. Instead of creating my art to people to admire, I like to create things that people will like. So I ask everyone I can. Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty confident about what I do. But talking to people helps me understand how they think. I had the chance to ask art teachers and art students, and a friend who's an architect. We used to spend hours watching The X Files together. Good times that don't come back.
I added the other characters after the critiques on the first six. Monsters of the week deserve a gallery of their own and it went to the list of things I want to do. I focused most on the body shape, eyes, and shadow beneath the neck as a common trait among each character. They do differ in size in the real TV series, so the heads were going to be a little different. Thanks for stopping by. :) Let me know if you liked it.
