More Than Friends
(Excerpt of an awkward little moment, from a personal idea/story)
The little town of Maddie Grove has fallen victim to a localized portal-leak where malevolent creatures from the Dark Dimensions are crawling their way unto Earth. The young and precocious Lord Draven was sent ahead on a scouting mission, but his way home had been mysteriously severed by an unknown entity.
Alone in this new world, he meets Avery - a whacky, free-spirited aviation-enthusiast who insists he'd make the perfect sidekick for her. Amidst the general haze of annoyance he feels for his new partner, a new, crippling feeling emerges, rendering him... fearful for the very first time in his life.
Oh screw it. Let it never be said that Draven Ascabar wasn't a man of action.
