Thunderstorm Prints
A project depicting how thunderstorms have a strange way of bringing me comfort, especially while falling asleep. The initial drawing explores this idea of comfort within chaos.
The second aspect I focused on was the relationship of thunderstorms and the Taino goddess, Guabancex. Guabancex is the top storm goddess sometimes  referred to as the Lady of the Winds, worshipped by the Taíno people of Hispaniola (the Dominican Republic and Haiti) and Puerto Rico. She has servants that attend to the creation of storms, each attending to a specific element; water, hurricane, and lightning. The feet depicted represent the gods stomping around for to create thunder.
