UES - Utilitarian Ergonomic Scraper
This project was realized during the fourth semester of my Bachelor in Industrial Design Engineering
The goal was to propose an innovative concept for a metal razor scrapper. Specifically, I was asked to make a research of existing scrappers, choose an environment of usage for my scrapper then make a prototype using CAD and 3D printing.
The ergonomic specificities of the objet reside in the way the user interacts with the objet; Indeed, I noticed during my research on scrapers that there are several different ways people hold them (depending on the type of scraper, the scraped surface, etc.).
So, with that in mind, I thought of a way to design a scraper that could be used in every position ...
The solution : I designed my scraper in two different parts : the handle and the blade holder. Between them, a ball joint, that enables the user to orient the blade each way he wants.
