THE LIVING TRIBUNAL
My Favorite Hero Signed by Stan Lee
This project was once again inspired by an ultimate goal and this goal was to have Stan Lee signature on my illustrated piece of my favorite Marvel character, The Living Tribunal.
As a true collector to this particular Marvel character I have almost every comic book appearance of The Living Tribunal. So with this large visual asset collection I was able to glean the artist interpretations I liked the most and base my Illustration off these. Some of these include his first appearance in Strange Tales Vol. #157 and his confrontation with the Infinity Gauntlet crazed Adam Warlock.
Once I was sufficiently nostalgic enough I looked to sketching out the composition and obtaining photo reference. I have to call out my good friend Austin Lovell, a talented developer for providing the the reference for the hood.
These two variations to the piece were a bit of a debate for me on which one should be signed. I eventually settled on the piece that has the text and looks like a character movie poster. This one was chosen due to the rumors of a possible appearance from the character in the Infinity War movie.
I was also very fortunate to achieve my goal of getting my final illustration signed as well as a near mint copy of the Living Tribunal's First appearance, thank you Stan Lee!
