Project 2. Principles of Gestalt
Design a series of four visual exercises that demonstrate the design principles listed below.
Each composition should effectively and imaginatively demonstrate visual unity using one of the following principles:
Closure
Continuance
Similarity
Proximity
Each plate must use similar picture elements and stand on its own compositionally. There
should also be continuance of “flow” between each plate.
Similarity: I made two groups in one plate. So viewers can realize that there are two groups. (Black and White.)
Continuance: A leaf is keep flying, so viewers can feel like it is flying CONTINUOUSLY.
Proximity: I made two branch, so there is some space. Then it can be "Proximity".
Closure: There is dashed line. It is not a perfect shape of leaf and branch, but people can guess what it is.
