This ring was inspired by the observation of how the work lamps on a jeweler's bench top have similar movements with human finger joints. With the installation of a tiny spring made out of silver wire, the ring is able to correspond to the movements of the wearer's finger.
This piece has won 1st Place Carol Tyler Memorial Award in the IPMI New England Chapter's 28th Annual Design Competition.
