Sea Babies Mobile
KNITTING PATTERN BY AMANDA BERRY
These Sea Babies have big eyes and expressive faces. Suspended on a mobile, they give the illusion of bobbing about under water; the movement will fascinate baby as they float about above them, and the bright tropical colours brighten up the nursery. Try inserting small bells into each animal to give baby a musical treat, too!
Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted on a pair of single pointed needles (not in the round). A third needle is needed for the clown fish pattern which incorporates a three-needle bind off. Each toy (clownfish, crab, octopus and starfish) is worked in acrylic DK yarns. An embroidery hoop is used to make the mobile, which is a cheap alternative to mobile making kits, and the toys are suspended on single crochet chains.
